Our results are consistent with those of Wilking-Busch et al. [72], who showed that inhibition of SIRT2 expression in the melanoma A375 cell line led to a decrease in cell proliferation and the ability to form colonies, and they contradict the results of Bajpe et al. [50], who showed that inhibition of SIRT2 expression was associated with increased ERK phosphorylation and conferred resistance to cetuximab, AZD6244, and vemurafenib. Here, SIRT2 is linked to melanoma.
