In particular, XPO1 is upregulated in ovarian carcinoma, glioma, osteosarcoma, and pancreatic, cervical, and gastric cancers, resulting in induction of abnormal accumulation of the tumor suppressor proteins Rb, APC, p53, p21, and p27 in the cytoplasm, leading to losses of their nuclear functions (2). Here, XPO1 is linked to osteosarcoma.
