EZH2 and gastric cancer: Emerging studies have revealed that the miR‐124 could directly target the EZH2 and suppress its expression in various cancers, including cholangiocarcinoma, prostate cancer, gastric cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma.27, 28, 29, 30, 31 Moreover, miR‐506 was reported to inhibit tumour cell proliferation and metastasis in colon cancer by directly targeting EZH2.32 In our study, we demonstrated that miR‐124/506 mimics modulated EZH2 expression to help sorafenib resistant thyroid tumour cells regained the sensitivity for sorafenib treatment.
