An integrative follow-up study using transcriptomics, genomics, proteomics, and next-generation sequencing strategies revealed that the mRNA expression of TREML4 in leukocytes and two TREML4 polymorphisms (rs2803495 and rs2803496) are associated with a high degree of coronary artery calcification (CAC) in patients with CAD9. This evidence concerns the gene TREML4 and coronary artery calcification.
