The preliminary results of this study warrant further validation in a larger gastric cancer cohort with surrogate profiles of CIN, such as an immunohistochemistry panel of MLH1, p53, and EBER staining [35], or CIN70 signature—70 genes that correlate with high levels of aneuploidy [36,37]. Here, MLH1 is linked to cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
