PTEN and cancer: Loss of PTEN is also linked with genomic alternations,12, 13 whereas it is probably attributed to epigenetic silencing in NSCLC.14, 15 Many studies have reported that PTEN can be regulated by miRNAs involved in cancer progression.4, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 Here, our study is to assess the mechanism of miR‐4286 in NSCLC tumorigenesis and to find a potential function of miR‐4286 in PTEN downregulation in lung carcinogenesis.
