Similarly, higher levels of IL-33 were associated with significantly higher PRDM16 in individuals with normoglycemia (P = 0.03; median 7.9, n = 10 vs. median 3.3, n = 10) and T2D (P = 0.02; median 6.1, n = 25 vs. median 4.1, n = 18) but not in those with prediabetes (Figures 9(a) and 9(b)). The gene discussed is IL33; the disease is prediabetes syndrome.
