REN and acute coronary syndrome: Participants were more frequently diagnosed with an acute coronary syndrome (36% versus 16%, p < 0.001]), were using more beta blocking agents or agents acting on the renin-angiotensin system (58% versus 46% p = 0.001 and 59% versus 44% p = 0.001, respectively), and were using more lipid lowering medication (94% versus 82%, p < 0.001).
