In the CCLE cell line cohort, EMT metriccorrelated positively with ZEB1 expression levels and negatively with ESRP1expression levels [Fig. 3(b), bottom],suggesting that the ZEB1-ESRP1 axis may regulate EMT across cancer types.Finally, multiple TCGAdatasets in lung adenocarcinoma, colon adeno-carcinoma, and renal cellcarcinoma53—accessed from R2: Genomics Analysis andVisualization Platform (http://r2.amc.nl)—exhibitedsimilar correlations between EMT metric and the expression levels of ZEB1 andESRP1 [Fig. 3(c)], thus indicating theclinical relevance of the ZEB1/ESRP1 axis.
