In the past decade, substantial progress has been made in the precise treatment of lung cancer, and this progress has benefited from the deep investigation of cancer genomics.62 Specific targeted agents against mutated EGFR and rearranged ALK have been successfully applied and have gradually become the standard first-line therapy for lung cancer.63 Due to the high mutation rate of EGFR, Chinese lung AC patients could benefit most from treatment with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKI). This evidence concerns the gene ALK and lung cancer.
