Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed a positive association with risk of dying from ovarian cancer for those with higher levels of serum haptoglobin (≥1.4 g/L) compared to those with haptoglobin levels <1.4 g/L (HR = 2.09, 95% CI:1.38–3.16) (Figure 6(d), Table 2). The gene discussed is HP; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
