On the other hand, the dominant expression of CD146 in melanoma (i.e., in ≈70% of primary melanomas and 90% of lymph node metastases) renders this marker a potential candidate for identifying both primary and metastatic melanomas.39 Herein, we investigated and reported that 89Zr‐Df‐YY146 PET readily and accurately identified CD146‐positive melanomas. The gene discussed is MCAM; the disease is metastatic melanoma.
