Thus, although we believe that migration and invasion of PC-3 cells by IL-7 may be mediated by altered expression of EMT markers, further studies are required to identify the upstream signaling pathways that increase the IL-7-induced expression of EMT markers, and to determine whether IL-7Rα overexpression or IL-7R signaling inhibitors in PC-3 cells affect tumor metastasis, particularly the typical bone metastasis of prostate cancer in vivo.
