Many studies have described a significant impact of PROX1 on the biology of different cancer types, including tumours of the central nervous system and the liver, oesophageal squamous cancer, colon cancer, haematological malignancies as well as breast, pancreatic and thyroid cancers [15,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35]. This evidence concerns the gene PROX1 and thyroid gland carcinoma.
