CXCL10 and cancer: CAF-derived cytokines including CCL5, IL6, and CXCL10 can also regulate cancer cell metabolism by promoting phosphorylation of phosphoglucomutase 1 and increasing glycogen mobilization in cancer cells, promoting NADPH synthesis and the TCA cycle and thus enabling cancer cell proliferation and metastatic spread of ovarian cancer cells [23] (Figure 1).
