All members of the MYC protein family physically interact with the calcium sensor calmodulin in a Ca2+-dependent manner (81) and in T-cell lymphoma, overexpressed MYC is stabilized by Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II γ (CAMKIIγ) phosphorylation (107). Here, MYC is linked to T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
