Studies over African Americans CRC cases, diagnosed at earlier ages compared to non-Hispanic withes, have found that SOX9, GATA6, TET1, GLIS1, and FAT1 were differentially hypermethylated in APC mutation-negative CRC; this lack of APC mutation is associated with the early-onset CRC [33]. The gene discussed is TET1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
