Furthermore, previous studies demonstrated that resveratrol-mediated activation of SIRT1 improved cisplatin (RSV 10 mg/kg orally once a day for 7 days)-induced AKI by deacetylating p53 and reducing apoptosis (Kim et al., 2011), and RSV also inhibited sepsis (RSV 10 mg/kg i.p. for 3 days)-induced AKI and renal inflammation through NF-κB de-acetylation (Gan et al., 2017) or SIRT3-mediated deacetylation of SOD2 (Xu et al., 2016).
