As shown in Figure 4(b), the production of TNF-α of NK cells from active SLE patients was lower compared to that from controls (48.0 ± 6.4% vs. 73.1 ± 2.4%, p = 0.003) and SLE patients with inactive disease (48.0 ± 6.4% vs. 74.2 ± 3.5%, p = 0.021), respectively. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and systemic lupus erythematosus.
