NPPB and Hypertension: Considering the role of inflammation, arterial stiffness, oxidative stress and metabolic syndrome in the development of hypertension, and the involvement of the aforementioned biomarkers with either the redox of hypertension or risk factors of hypertension, we hypothesized that increased plasma Hcy, NT-proBNP, hs-TnT, HbA1c, SUA, and hs-CRP levels are associated with the prevalence of hypertension.
