Our data support a post hoc analysis of the ASTRONOMER (Aortic Stenosis Progression Observation: Measuring Effects of Rosuvastatin) trial (11), in which patients with mild to moderate AS and elevated Lp(a) (top tertile >58.5 mg/dl) or OxPL-apoB levels were reported to have faster AS progression. Here, APOB is linked to aortic valve stenosis.
