For the ducklings presenting bacteremia symptoms, the statistics of bacteremia levels showed that bacteria proliferation in the blood for FY26Δacs and FY26Δacs-yjcH-actP infected ducks had no significant difference with that of wild-type FY26 and the complemented FY26Cacs-yjcH-actP (Figure 7B) (P > 0.05), suggesting acetate assimilation system encoded by acs-yjcH-actP operon was not involved in bacteria proliferation in blood in vivo. Here, ACSS2 is linked to bacterial infectious disease with sepsis.
