Mitochondrial fission can isolate damaged mitochondria and degrade these mitochondria via mitophagy.23 To further determine whether cisplatin induced mitophagy in HCC cells, we detected the expression of the mitophagy‐lysosome pathway‐related proteins PTEN‐induced putative kinase (PINK)1, parkin, LC3, p62, lysosomal‐associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP1), cathepsin B and cathepsin D in Huh7 cells treated with cisplatin (Figure 2C). The gene discussed is CTSB; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
