To determine if activated NF-κB is the major molecular event for GPX1 overexpression in NSCLC, we analyzed the effects of NF-κB inhibitor BAY 11-7082 on GPX1 expression, intracellular ROS level, AKT phosphorylation, and cisplatin response in NSCLC cell lines. The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
