Tenascin-W is overexpressed in the tumor stroma of breast (Degen et al., 2007), colorectal (Degen et al., 2008), brain (oligodendroglioma, astrocytoma, and glioblastoma) (Martina et al., 2010), kidney (clear cell carcinoma, papillary carcinoma, chromophobe renal carcinoma, and oncocytoma), ovarian, prostate, pancreas, and lung cancers as well as in melanomas (Brellier et al., 2012b; Figure 3). Here, TNN is linked to lung cancer.
