Recently, a small molecule inhibitor for DDX5, SupinoxinTM (RX-5902), has been developed for cancer therapy, and is currently in a clinical trial in patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT02003092) (29), which suggested the significance of DDX5 in the pathogenesis of tumor. This evidence concerns the gene DDX5 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
