Serum BAFF levels were greater in SLE patients with active disease with borderline significance (ratio of GM 1.24; 95% CI 0.99, 1.55; P = 0.06; Figure 3a), flare of disease (ratio of GM 1.29; 95% CI 1.01, 1.65; P = 0.04; Figure 3b) or irreversible organ damage compared to those without (ratio of GM 1.33; 95% CI 1.07, 1.65; P = 0.01; Figure 3c, Table 3). Here, TNFSF13B is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
