Undoubtedly, applying any of the intervention treatments described above, together with a therapeutic antibody, will produce on and around the cancer cells/mass, besides C5b-9 complexes, additional complement activation products, such as cancer-bound iC3b, which promotes antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (CDCC) as well as C3a and C5a, which may suppress cellular anti-cancer immune response.
