Moreover, TB-IRIS patients and controls experienced a significant decrease over time in the median fluorescence intensity (MFI) of IL-27R and %IL-27R+ cells within CD45RO+CD4+ T cells (Friedman test p ≤ 0.019 with Dunn’s post-hoc test p ≤ 0.026, Fig 1E and 1F), and only TB-IRIS patients experienced decreasing percentages of PD-1+KLRG1+ cells within the CD45RO+CD4+ T cells (Friedman test p = 0.018 with Dunn’s post-hoc test p = 0.018, Fig 1G).
