These inhibitory effects of RSK2 on the nuclear localization of ELK3 were also confirmed by the results obtained following RSK2 knockdown (Figure 4e), as well as by chemical inhibition of RSK2 using kaempferol and BI-D1870 (Figure 4f), in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene ELK3 and breast carcinoma.
