With the update of the WHO classification for CNS tumor in 2016, the diagnosis of gliomas shifted from histology to genetics, especially 1p/19q status and IDH mutations.22, 23, 24 A large number of studies have focused on the treatment options for grade III glioma with different molecular markers.25, 26 However, the latest NCCN guidelines for anaplastic gliomas recommend early and maximal surgical resection as the first therapeutic option.27 Our result also showed that surgical removal of tumors can improve prognosis and GTR of tumors had a best survival. Here, IDH1 is linked to grade III glioma.
