PTH and intestinal obstruction: The types of events were decreased adjusted calcium (the most frequent type), occurring in 10 patients (7.3%); decreased blood calcium, in four patients (2.9%); constipation and diarrhea, each in two patients (1.5%); and erosive gastritis, intestinal obstruction, nausea, vomiting, chest discomfort, and decreased blood parathyroid hormone, occurring in one patient each (0.7%).
