IgL was translocated in 9.8% (N = 78/795) of newly diagnosed myeloma with 41% of IgL translocations being juxtaposed to MYC and the remaining occurring throughout the genome, which included translocations proximal to MAP3K14, CD40, MAFB, TXNDC5, CCND1, CCND2, and CCND3 albeit at much lower frequencies (7.6–1.3%; Fig. 4a). The gene discussed is TXNDC5; the disease is plasma cell myeloma.
