PMEL and neoplasm: The published literature includes only one report of the ad hoc application of this regimen following a canarypox-based genetic vaccination regimen (ALVAC, [56]), in which 4 of 7 patients demonstrated significant augmentation of immune response to the gp100 vaccine, of which two patients with measurable tumor exhibited objective antitumor responses that correlated with development of increased levels of CTL directed at gp100 positive tumor cells.
