EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Several large randomized controlled clinical trials (e.g., IPASS [2], WJTOG 3405 [3], OPTIMAL [4], EURTAC [5], LUX-Lung 3 [6], First-SIGNAL [8], NEJ002 [9], LUX-Lung 6 [10]) consistently demonstrated that patients with NSCLC harboring the EGFR-activating mutation experienced a 9–13-month median PFS when they received EGFR-TKIs treatment.
