Since our study regarding the effects of empagliflozin were recently published [4], the decision was made to go back and reexamine 22–25 different capillary NVUs in each of our models, which include the heterozygous nonobese, non-insulin resistant, and nondiabetic control model (CKC) (Figure 2); the db/db homozygous obese, insulin resistant, and T2DM diabetic model (DBC) (Figure 3); and the DBC treated with empagliflozin (DBE) with an n = 3 in each model (Figure 2, Figure 3 and Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
