CDH1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The previous study has indicated that the decrease of E‐cadherin expression is resulted by DNA methylation in human cancers.16 We asked whether E‐cadherin promoter methylation was the mechanism contributing to six2‐mediated downregulation of E‐cadherin, NSCLC cells with six2 overexpression were treated with the methyltransferase inhibitor 5 μmol/L decitabine, and E‐cadherin expression was partially restored, while no further increase in E‐cadherin expression was observed in control cells (Figure 5A,B).
