BRAF and thyroid gland undifferentiated (anaplastic) carcinoma: BRAF mutations are commonly implicated in driving oncogenesis in solid tumors and hematopoietic malignancies, which has prompted the development of targeted therapies for the treatment of malignant melanoma, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, and metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer that harbors BRAF p.V600E mutation (Sridhar 2017).
