Consistent with our data on the role of KIF23 in gastric cancer, KIF23 has been reported to affect the proliferation of glioma both in vivo and in vitro, which was regulated by TCF-4, suggesting a similar mechanism [28], whereas KIF23 could inhibit the development of lung cancer and promote apoptosis of lung cancer cells in vivo [13, 29]. This evidence concerns the gene KIF23 and lung carcinoma.
