Notably, we did observe some tau uptake in the frontal lobes at baseline and tau accumulation across the cortex, and hence our results are not too different from a recent study on longitudinal tau-PET in typical AD, which confuted the idea that pathological tau burden increases by spreading from one uninvolved area to the next with no accumulation in previously involved areas (Jack et al., 2018).
