The mean values of tau proteins increased significantly in all three groups of PACG (1.897 ± 0.155 ng/mL) and POAG (1.582 ± 0.230 ng/mL) as well as in PS (2.022 ± 0.306 ng/mL) patients compared with controls (0.221 ± 0.086 ng/mL). This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and open-angle glaucoma.
