As figured out in recent studies, the breast cancer cell line ZR-75-1 showed the highest sensitivity against Akt inhibition and, more particularly, the first-in-class covalent-allosteric inhibitor borussertib exhibited excellent cellular activity in the nanomolar range with superior profile against clinical candidate Akt inhibitors as well as the cytostatic drug doxorubicin. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast cancer.
