To address the role of AMPK in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (T-ALL), we used a mouse model in which the tumor suppressor gene Pten was deleted in T cell progenitors (Hagenbeek and Spits, 2008), and generated lines with or without additional T-cell-specific knockout of AMPK-α1. Here, PRKAA1 is linked to lymphoma.
