Within the titin N2Bus segment, several cross‐species–conserved phosphoserines, including S4010, S4062, and S4099, as well as nonconserved (human‐only) S4185 (numbering according to human titin consensus sequence, UniProKB #http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q8WZ42-1), have shown altered regulation in animal models of heart disease and human failing hearts, as will be detailed below (Figs 4 and 5). This evidence concerns the gene TTN and heart disorder.
