In the multivariate analysis the PSA level > 8.0 ng/mL and higher fraction of hypoxic cells (GLUT-1 > 19.1%) doubled the risk (HR = 2), while higher VEGF and nuclear hTERT expression reduced by half (HR = 0.5) the risk of biochemical recurrence in PCa patients after prostatectomy. This evidence concerns the gene SLC2A1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
