IGHE and asthma: From six academic centres, we recruited 11 patients with confirmed asthma (12% bronchodilator reversibility or PC20 methacholine less than 8 mg/mL), atopy (skin prick test positive to common aeroallergens and elevated serum IgE levels), who were symptomatic (ACQ-5 ≥ 1.5) with evidence of sputum eosinophils (> 3%) despite high dose maintenance corticosteroid therapy.
