CERS2 and breast carcinoma: Expression of CerS-2 mRNA was demonstrated to be reduced in breast cancer [30,31], and higher expression of CerS-2 in the breast cancer patients was associated with fewer lymph node metastases [32], and low expression of LASS2 was associated with poor prognosis in patients with BCa [33], thus it could become a candidate marker for the detection and prognosis of breast cancer.
