Specifically, we establish that (1) GSK-3 regulates vimentin dynamics, (2) GSK-3 interacts with and phosphorylates vimentin, (3) vimentin facilitates GBM cell migration, and (4) vimentin is highly expressed in GBM patient specimens, and is prognostic, particularly in lower grade gliomas. This evidence concerns the gene VIM and central nervous system cancer.
