H19, a maternally expressed imprinted gene that is abundant in embryonic tissues but is strongly repressed after birth (Dey, Pfeifer & Dutta, 2014), is well studied on epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) and mesenchymal to epithelial transition (MET) of various tumors, and our previous publication demonstrated that H19 was participated in the process of mastitis (Yang et al., 2017). Here, H19 is linked to mastitis.
