TNF and Alzheimer disease: Notably, some pathways were responsive early on and then maintained consistent expression throughout the course of AD development (e.g., interferon, complement pathway, and TNF superfamily) whereas other pathways were modestly induced at early time points but markedly increased with progression of cSiO2-induced autoimmunity (e.g., adaptive immunity, B-cell functions and T-cell functions) (Figure 7B).
